Information gathered by Tapnewsgh indicates the interim coach of the senior national team of Ghana, Otto Addo has resigned after his team bowed out of the 2022 World Cup tournament.
It was all to play for in Ghana’s final group match as they needed a win or draw against the Uruguayan team to qualify to the knockout stages.
However, a sloppy penalty miss by Ghana’s captain, Andre Dede Ayew saw the Black Stars lying down for the first twenty while Uruguay came coming in with several attacks to get two goals before the end of the first forty-five minutes.
The match gradually got the second half and ended in a 2-0 win in favor of Uruguay seeing the Black Stars make an early exit from the mundial in an abysmal manner.
It’s in relation to this poor performance that Otto Addo has resigned as head coach of the team following his inability to make the right selection of players for the match and the tenure of his coaching contract with the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
